Savanna Region NPP Chairman Breaks Silence on Fire Disaster that Destroyed His Tamale Residence
Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana, popularly known as Prof Kalamonia, the Savannah Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has broken his silence following a devastating fire that consumed his entire residence in Gumani, Tamale. The unfortunate fire incident destroyed properties worth millions of cedis.
Speaking to Rubai Abdul Waris, Prof Kalamonia recounted receiving the distressing news of the inferno shortly after returning from a trip abroad on Sunday. He lamented the loss of his home and valuable possessions, including important documents, estimated to be worth millions of Ghanaian Cedis.
Despite the enormity of his material losses, Prof Kalamonia expressed gratitude that there were no casualties resulting from the blaze. He attributed the incident to the will of Allah and stated that he harbors no suspicions towards anyone for its cause.
Chairman Kalamonia extended heartfelt appreciation to the community members, the Ghana National Fire Service, as well as his family and friends across the Savannah Region for their unwavering support during this trying time.
In addition to dealing with his own losses, the politician and philanthropist has taken steps to ensure the safety of orphaned children under his care, relocating them to secure accommodations.
