Muslim Youth Protest Against Bel Beverages For Allegedly Using Same Line To Produce Alcoholic and Non – Alcoholic Drinks
Concerned Muslim Youth have protested against the use of the same production line to produce Bel Alcoholic and non- alcoholic beverages. Speaking to the media, the leadership of the protesters condemned the producers of Bel beverages for using same production line to produce alcoholic and non- alcoholic beverages.
Alhassan Mohammed, disclosed that the company recently introduced alcoholic drinks which has similar labels to their soft drink. He mentioned Pukka which is non – alcoholic beverage ,however, has the same label with the newly introduced pukka extra(alcohol) .
” The Bel soft drink also has similar label with Bel Ice( Alcoholic beverage).he said.
The groups believed that the use of the same production line to produce alcoholic and non- alcoholic beverages is unacceptable.
In a related development, the Concerned Muslim Youth, has condemned the use of minor to advertise the company alcoholic beverages. The Muslim Concerned Youth, thus, makes a passionate appeal to the FDA, National Chief Imam and Halal Committee to investigate the company line of producing alcoholic and non- alcoholic beverages.
