Sagnarigu Constituency NPP Parliamentary Candidate, Felicia Tettey, has made a cash donation of Ghc150,000 to the Chief and Development Committee of Garizegu

The donation is to support the dredging of the community dam which remains the only source of water but can no longer contain enough to last the dry season. The situation has disrupted social and economic activities as women and children have to travel long distances everyday in search potable water for domestic use.

The intervention by the NPP Parliamentary Candidate was in response to an appeal made earlier this year by Nyab Garizei Naa and the Community Development Committee to individuals, organisations and NGOs to support the dredging of the community dam.

Presenting the cash donation, Alhaji Dagoma, Sagnarigu Constituency NPP Chairman said the importance the dam plays in the lives of the people of Garizegu prompted the swift donation of Mrs Tettey.

Chairman Dagoma disclosed that the donation is a tip of the ice berg, and reiterated the continuous support of Mrs. Tettey to the Chief and people of Garizegu and finding lasting solution to perennial water challenges faced by the community when elected as Member Of Parliament for the Constituency.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the Chief ,Elders and Garizegu Town Development Committee, Nyab Silimboma Naa, expressed profound gratitude to Mrs Tettey for the Kind gesture.

He added that Mrs Tettey has supported the development of the community over the years by donating to dreged the dam, funded the extension of the community pipelines and provided street bulbs to enhance security.
