The Finance Minister, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, has extended crucial support to the Tamale Teaching Hospital in an effort aimed at addressing some critical challenges faced by the facility in the discharge of its duties.Â
The minister’s support which he handed over to Hospital authorities, earlier today[April 9], included 10 plastic water storage tanks, with promise of additional assistance in the form of three dialysis machines to augment what the hospital has already for effective care to patients with kidney impairment.
The Member of Parliament for Karaga also made an initial payment of GHc100,000.00 earmarked for the renovation of an underground water storage facility.
The intervention by the Minister, which is driven by personal commitment to community welfare, comes as a boon to both the hospital and its patients.
Furthermore, in a gesture aimed at easing the burden on patients, Dr. Amin Adam also provided 200 bags of essential food products to support those undergoing treatment at the hospital.Â
Dr. Adam Atiku expressed profound gratitude for the minister’s benevolence, emphasizing the critical role these resources will play in enhancing the delivery of quality healthcare services within the hospital.
Despite the commendable intervention, Dr. Atiku underscored ongoing challenges faced by TTH, notably the issue of unreliable electricity supply. In a call to action, he urged benevolent groups and individuals to emulate the Finance Minister’s example by extending further support to the hospital, thereby fortifying its capacity to address healthcare needs effectively.
