The Northern Regional Chairman of the NPP, Mohammed A. Baatima Samba, over the weekend, led some regional leaders of the Party to visit some constituencies in the Region. The aim of the visit was to interact with hierarchies and grassroot base of the NPP in order to foster a formidable campaign ahead of election 2024.

The Chairman first stop was at Yendi where he joined party stalwarts and faithful to celebrate the 43rd birthday of Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama, the Member Of Parliament for Yendi Constituency who also was confirmed recently as the party’s Parliamentary candidate for the December 7 polls.

Chairman Samba and his delegation took the opportunity to encourage the MP to reach out and build consensus with various staleholders in order for the party to retain the Yendi seat with a wider margin.

Chairman Samba also makes a passionate appeal for all hands on deck to win the Parliamentary and Presidential for the New Patriotic Party ( NPP).

From Yendi, the Chairman and his delegation proceeded to Kpandai Constituency to pay graced where they joined family, loved ones and party faithful for the funeral rites of a Party stalwart who passed away recently at the age of 93.

Chairman Samba, during the tour, also engaged the electoral area coordinators ,Constituency Executives and Council Of Elders of Wulensi Constituency. The aim was to urge the stakeholders to reconcile their differences and work towards victory in the upcoming polls.

The Chairman told Alhaji Haruna Abdulai, the party’s Parliamentary Candidate for the Wulensi Constituency to prioritise unity, saying it is only by togetherness that the party can win back the Wulensi seat.

In an interview, Chairman Samba disclosed that his aim at this year’s election was to win more Parliamentary seats for the NPP in Northern Region. He said out of 18 constituencies, his target was to win 14 parliamentary seats for his party.
