Barring any last minute hitch, Ghana’s Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party will today embark on a one day campaign tour of the Savannah Region.
While in Gonjaland, Dr. Mahamud Bawumia is expected to confer with membership of the Savanna Region House of Chiefs, engage with various interest groups and connect with young people with his Youth connect initiative.
In a statement, the Party’s spelt out his itinerary and urged the rank and file of the party to come out in their numbers to give the Vice President a rousing welcome.

H.E DR. MAHAMUDU BAWUMIA TOURS THE SAVANNAH REGION.
INTRODUCTUON:
His Excellency, the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and the Presidential Candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Dr Mahamudu Bawamia is set to tour the Savannah Region on Wednesday the 15th day of May, 2024. This visit is just one of his numerous visits to the region but specially and specifically part of his planned nationwide Regional Tour of the entire country.
The incoming president, H.E Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia will engage in or undertake the un-derlisted activities whilst in the Savannah Region.
ACTIVITIES:
- Whistle-stop at Yapei toll booth,
- Whistle -stop at Fulfulso Lorry market,
- Private visit to the Busunuwura,
- Breakfast meeting with the clergy,
- Meeting with Savannah Regional House of Chiefs,
- Inspection of ongoing limited registration exercise,
- Interaction with Market Women,
- House-To-House,
- Youth Connect,
- Party Meeting,
- Dinner,
- Departure to Tamale.
FURTHERMORE:
The New Patriotic Party in the Savannah Region, under the capable leadership of Prof. Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana Kalmonia wishes to therefore inform all and sundry in the Region that, all is set and in place in the Savannah Region to give a hilarious welcome to the incoming president of the Republic of Ghana, H.E Dr Mahamoud Bawumia, into the region he played a significant and pivotal role in its creation.
This statement further directs that, all NPP flags already flying full mast in all corners of the region remains, for there is hope in flying the standards of truth, freedom and development.
CONCLUSION:
This statement again entreats all NPP supporters and well-meaning citizens of the Savannah Region to prepare and bravely partake in the aforementioned activities for love of party and country without any form of fear of intimidation, threats or thuggery. You are protected and will continue to remain protected.
Finally, this statement wishes to admonish all unscrupulous individuals whose stock in trade usually, is to create chaos and anarchy to thread cautiously by avoiding anything untoward during, before and after this tour. Untoward activities in any form from unscrupulous politically tainted individuals acting as members of needless invincible groups will surely not be counternized .
