The Chief Of Kulnyevilla has issued a caution to residents, urging them to desist from transferring their votes.
This, according to the chief, will ensure electoral integrity as it will prevent any potential manipulation of the voting process.
Transferring votes might be viewed as an attempt to influence elections’ outcomes unfairly or disrupt the local democratic process .
This caution highlights the importance of maintaining transparency and fairness in elections. It serves as a reminder to residents to follow electoral regulations and participate in a manner that upholds the integrity of the electoral process.
The Electrol Commission (EC) has started the process of transferring votes for the upcoming December elections.
The initiative is aimed at allowing voters who currently reside in a different location from where they originally registered to transfer their votes to their new place of residence.
This process began and will conclude on June 13th, 2024.
There are allegations that some political parties, particularly the ruling New Patriotic Party( NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) , are attempting to influence the transfer of voters to secure victories in certain constituencies
