Member of Parliament for Yendi, Hon. Farouk Aliu Mahama, has expressed his gratitude to President Nana Akufo Addo and Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for the unprecedented development projects in the Constituency.
The acknowledgement of the significant development projects, particularly in the road sector, such as the Yendi Inner Roads Projects and AstroTurf, as well as the role in bringing peace to Dagbon, underscores the positive impact of these initiatives on the community’s infrastructure and socio- economic well- being.
During the campaign tour of the New Patriotic Party ( NPP) Flagbearer, Dr. Bawumia, in Yendi Constituency, over the weekends, on , Saturday, 13, July, Hon Farouk Aliu Mahama emphasized the importance of continuing the momentum of development and appealed to the constituents to renew his mandate and support Dr. Bawumia’s Presidential bid for further progress and prosperity.
On his part, Dr. Bawumia commended Hon Farouk Aliu Mahama for his efforts in advancing development projects like the Yendi Inner Roads, Yendi Water Project, underscoring the collaborative governance needed for effective representation and positive change.
He also stated the huge investment of the construction of the Yendi to Zabzugu and Tatale Roads.
Dr. Bawumia passionately appealed to the constituents to re- elect Hon. Farouk Aliu Mahama and endorse his bid for the Presidency, contrasting their achievements with what he described as lack of attention to Yendi’s needs during the tenure of former President Mahama.
The Flagbearer posed a challenge to former President Mahama to mention projects he brought to Yendi during his tenure as President. He added that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) failed to address some of the challenges of the Constituency during the tenure of former President Mahama.
Dr. Bawumia also mentioned some of his 33 achievements especially the issuance of Ghana Card, Mobile Money Interoperability, Drone services, enhancement of the economy through Digitalisation and stated that his performance as Vice President exceeds that of former President John Mahama.
The Flagbearer said he is right candidate who can bring development to the Constituency and the country at large.
