Kate Gyamfua Elated at Passage of Affirmative Action Act

The National Women Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed her excitement at the passage of the Affirmative Action Act by Parliament.

Madam Kate Gyamfua has thus extended profound commendation to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Parliament of Ghana for the Act which she said will create an environment where women can thrive and contribute to national development.

In a statement, Gyamfua indicated the significance of the new legislation, stating, “As the Women Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, I am thrilled to see this landmark legislation become a reality.” She highlighted that the Act represents a pivotal step forward in the ongoing pursuit of gender equality and women’s empowerment in the country.

Gyamfua praised the leadership shown by President Akufo-Addo and his government, acknowledging their commitment to addressing systemic barriers that have historically impeded women’s progress.

She noted that the NPP’s efforts will open doors for greater representation, opportunities, and inclusivity for women across various sectors of society.
