The leadership of the Concerned Youth of NPP for Gbolo- Kpalsi – Sognaayili Electrol Areas, addressed concerns regarding statements made by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate, Hon. Atta Issah, during his visit to the Sognaayili Central Mosque for Jummah prayers.
The Secretary of the group, Alhassan Majeed, criticized Atta Issah for allegedly misinforming the congregation about the ongoing road construction in the area.
According to him, the NDC candidate claimed that the project was not funded by the Government of Ghana or by Mrs. Felicia Tettey, the NPP parliamentary candidate for Sagnarigu, but by the project was attributed to World Bank funding.
Majeed said Atta’s assertion is untrue as it is clear without any contradiction that the project is not funded by the World Bank but rather is a government initiative.
He emphasized the importance of providing accurate information to the community about the sources of funding for vital infrastructure projects.
Chairman of the group, Mba Mumuni Sulemana, commended Felicia Tettey for her efforts in securing the road project, which he said will open up the area upon completion.
He highlighted the positive impact that such development initiatives have on the community’s quality of life.
Another group member, Mma Ayi, also commended the work of the parliamentary candidate and called upon residents to support Felicia Tettey in the upcoming elections to ensure further development projects benefit the area.
The leadership concluded the conference by urging the community to stay informed and involved in local governance, emphasizing the importance of transparency and accountability in political representation.
