The Dagban Diema Naanim Youth Chiefs Association also referred to as the Entertainment Chiefs, has officially communicated its decision to Sayibu Abdul Razak, the Lamashegu Diema Naa, requesting the cancellation of the planned competition dubbed the Lamashegu Diema Naa Nag’begu Competition.
In a letter addressed to Sayibu Abdul Razak and copied to the Chief of Lamashegu, the Northern Regional Police Commander, and the Regional Director of the National Sports Authority, the association expressed its concerns regarding recent statements made by the Lamashegu Diema Naa.
The association accused him of defaming them on media platforms and labeling the group as a “useless body,” a sentiment that they found unacceptable.
The letter, purportedly authored by the association, highlighted that while the Lamashegu Diema Naa was once a member of the association, he had chosen to act in personal interest, thus forfeiting his membership.
As a result, the association has formally requested that the competition be called off until further notice in the interest of maintaining peace and decorum within the region.
The Lamashegu Diema Naa Nag’begu Competition is slated at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Sunday, 29th September, 2024.
