The Tamale South Constituency NPP Parliamentary Candidate, Alhaji Fuseini Musah, has launched the rehabilitation of the Sagnarigu-Dungu Road, which serves as a vital link to the University for Development Studies.
In a recent initiative, over the weekends, Alhaji Fuseini Musah, affectionately known as Master Fuzzy Generator, was accompanied by the former Mayor of Tamale and current Deputy CEO of the Forestry Commission, Hon Musah Superior, alongside constituency executives and party supporters.
They paid a courtesy call on Nyab Dungu Wulana to seek the blessings of traditional authorities for the commencement of the road’s graveling.
In a brief address to the media, Alhaji Fuseini Musah noted that the roads in the Dungu community have been in deplorable condition for many years.
He pointed out that despite electing Haruna Iddrisu for 20 years, the area has seen minimal development, particularly in road rehabilitation.
He revealed that the project was made possible through the efforts of President Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia’s DRIP initiative, aimed at addressing urgent road needs throughout the country.
Alhaji Fuzzy made a passionate appeal to constituents to vote for development by electing Dr. Bawumia as President and himself as their representative in Parliament.
He promised that the roads would be asphalted if elected.
Highlighting his previous contributions to the community, Alhaji Fuseini Musah cited his initiatives in providing water through borehole drilling and dredging dam projects.
Speaking on behalf of Nyab Dungu Lana, Nyab Dugu Kpala Lana expressed deep gratitude to Alhaji Fuseini Musah for his timely intervention in rehabilitating the road.
He emphasized the project’s significance, noting that for the past 20 years, the poor condition of the road has adversely affected the community.
Nyab Dugu Kpala Lana further encouraged residents to elect parliamentary candidates who will prioritize development.
The former Mayor of Tamale, Hon. Iddirisu Musah Superior, reiterated the call for constituents to elect Dr. Bawumia and Alhaji Fuseini Musah to bring additional development to the area.
Additionally, Constituency Chairman, Alhaji Chief Alhassan Yussif Mozeli, criticized Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, the current Member of Parliament, for neglecting the constituency’s development challenges over two decades.
He acknowledged that despite being a non-government appointee, Alhaji Fuseini Musah has successfully initiated development projects within the constituency.
Chief Mozeli emphasized the importance of voting for development.
Residents of the area echoing the poor deplorable roads commended Alhaji Fuseini Musah for his intervention and pledged their support for him in the upcoming December 7, 2024 elections.
