Hon. Sule Salifu, the Mayor of Tamale and the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Tamale Central, made a surprise visit to Kaladan Park to observe the training sessions of several local football teams.
During his visit, he distributed footballs to 12 teams, including Shooting Starlets, Great Eagles, Real Republicans, Mr. India, Oxford Ladies, United Babies, Peace FC, Tamale Vision Babies, Tamale Vision Ladies, Don’t Worry, Missionary Ladies, and Missionary.
In his brief address to the players, Hon. Sule emphasized the importance of balancing education with their passion for football, citing local sports icon Abedi Pele as a prime example of how talent can be paired with discipline and hard work for success.
He encouraged the young athletes to take their studies seriously while pursuing their dreams in football.
Additionally, Hon. Sule made a heartfelt appeal to the players, urging them to support the NPP and to vote for him and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming elections.
He reminded them of their advantageous position as number one on the ballot, highlighting the importance of their votes in driving development in the constituency.
The management and coaches of the teams expressed their profound gratitude to Hon. Sule Salifu for his generous donation, describing the footballs as a timely intervention that would significantly enhance their training efforts.
Players also shared their excitement regarding the donation, with many expressing their appreciation for the support.
