Georgia Atlanta Damba Festival: Kentucky Dagbamba Naa King Faisal Appeals For Peaceful Elections.

The Kentucky Dagbambi Naa, King Faisal Adam, over the weekends attended the Georgia Atlanta 2024 Damba Festival.
Leading a distinguished delegation to represent Kentucky, he highlighted the significance of these cultural gatherings in promoting unity and celebrating heritage within the Dagbang community in North America.

Under the visionary leadership of Alhaji Mohammed Umar, the establishment of the chieftaincy institution in the U.S. alongside the Damba festival aims to achieve several key objectives such as; Promoting Peace and Unity: the chieftaincy institution and the festival serve as avenues to foster harmony among Dagombas in the diaspora.

By uniting the community in North America, a ripple effect of peace is created that resonates back to Dagbon, reinforcing shared identity and values throughout the community.
Cultural Heritage and Youth Engagement: A primary focus of these initiatives is ensuring that the younger generations born and raised in the U.S. understand and appreciate their rich cultural heritage.

Through active participation in Damba festivities, children are encouraged to embrace their roots and uphold traditions with pride.
Enhancing Socio-Economic Well-Being; These gatherings also present opportunities for meaningful dialogue aimed at uplifting the socio-economic status of Dagombas both in the diaspora and in Dagbon.

By brainstorming solutions and leveraging the collective strength of the community, pathways to growth and development can be identified.
In his address at the festival, King Faisal strongly echoed the call for peace, urging all Dagombas to exercise restraint and engage in a democratic, violence-free process during the upcoming 2024 general elections.
He emphasized, “Let us stand united in ensuring a peaceful and prosperous future for our people.”
He expressed his gratitude to the organizers for a successful event and called for further collaboration to promote Dagbon culture and heritage.

King Faisal highlighted the dedication of the Dagbamba diaspora community to preserving and promoting the rich heritage of Dagbon across the U.S. and globally.

He stressed the importance of every Dagbana contributing to these efforts to foster unity and pride in their shared identity.
The Kentucky Dagbambi Naa admonished that any acts of violence or discord that undermine these initiatives should not be tolerated, as they threaten to disrupt the progress and commitment that many have worked tirelessly to achieve.

“Together, we can ensure the continued growth and celebration of Dagbamba culture worldwide,” he affirmed.
The festival not only served as a celebration of culture but also as a crucial platform for building community ties and promoting the values that bind the Dagbamba people, both at home and abroad.
