The Dasuma Radio Clan Soccer Tournament has a rich history, leveraging on the existing inter-clan relationships to foster cooperation, unity, and progress among the clans.

This unique competition has brought to the forefront the cultural practices and historical bonds between various clans, such as the relationships between butchers and blacksmiths, Dagombas and Moshies, and butchers and Laabangsi.

Regarding eligibility criteria, the tournament has been opened up to all people of Yendi, including players registered with clubs in Yendi. In fact, every Clan team has at least one registered player with a club.
Our goal is to address the historical gap in opportunities for Yendi players to develop their talents and progress in their football careers.

We define “people of Yendi” as not only those who live and work in Yendi but also those of Yendi origin living and working outside Yendi or Ghana.
Regardless of geographical location or registered club, a native of Yendi can participate in the tournament by reaching out to their Clan.
Our aim is to ensure that the tournament benefits the people of Yendi, providing a platform for talent discovery and development.

We believe that this tournament can attract scouts and provide opportunities for Yendi players to showcase their skills.
This, we hope, will open the doors for them to play professional football in big clubs eventually.
It’s the resolve of the Chief Executive Officer of Dasuma Radio Ltd, Alhaji Baba Daney and his team( Management of the Station and Organising Committee Members) to make sure that talents aren’t only unearthed but also assisted to develop their full potential and harness the benefits thereof for themselves, families and communities.

As usual, this year’s tournament kick-starts from 23rd December, 2024 and ends on 30th December, 2024. This will be preceded with a float on 22nd December, 2024.
